Pauline Harken McClintic

BRIGHTON - The service for Pauline Harken McClintic, 81, who died Wednesday morning, July 10, 1991, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, Ill., will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Brighton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert M. Bell officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Family visitation will start at 7 p.m. Monday at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton. Memorials have been established to Brighton United Church and the Brighton chapter of PEO.

Mrs. McClintic was born Nov. 12, 1909, at Veo, the daughter of P.J. and Maude Pringle Harken. She graduated from high school in Cedar Rapids, attended Stephens College in Columbia, Mo., and graduated from University of Iowa City. She married Max McClintic of Brighton in Muscatine on May 30, 1951. He died Oct. 27, 1987. She lived in Iowa most of her life and in Washington County after her marriage. She taught school for 30 years and was teaching in the Washington Community School District when she retired. She was a member of Brighton United Church, Brighton chapter of PEO, Order of Eastern Star, and the Retired Teachers Association.

Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Beaton of La Mesa, Calif., and two grandsons.
