Emma Lucille Thomas

Emma Lucille Thomas, 83, of 807-809 W. Taylor Ave., died at 11:45 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2003, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Suburban Heights Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ed Parker and the Rev. Harold Baker officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington, Iowa.

Mrs. Thomas was born Sept. 30, 1919, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Grace Baker Miller. She married Dorsey “Mike” Thomas July 14, 1935, in Memphis, Mo. He died June 14, 1989.

Mrs. Thomas was a lifetime resident of Jefferson County. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Thomas was a member of the Suburban Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Sally Baker of Bloomfield and Sharon Reighard of Ottumwa; two sons, Frank “Bud” Thomas of Fairfield and William “Bill” Thomas of Ottumwa; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
