Earl J. Lambert Dies in Des Moines

Earl J. Lambert, 58, of Des Moines died today, Oct. 1, 1962, in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Jones Funeral Home, with the Rev. Carlyle Smith in charge. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Lambert was born in Washington County July 30, 1904, a son of Jacob and Anna Doran Lambert. He was reared and educated in this county.

He was a member of the Christian church and an employee of the Des Mo9ines Central Railroad.

Survivors are a half-sister, Mrs. Ada Coppock of Shennandoah[sic]; one sister, Mrs. Mabel Murham of Washington; four brothers, Sam, Clyde and Homer of Washington, and Glen of Davenport.

DES MOINES (UPI) --- A 58 year-old man was found dead early today on railroad tracks here but authorities do not believe he was struck by a train.

He was identified as Earl Lambert who was found beneath the 14th street bridge about 1 a.m. by railroad employes[sic]. Authorities said Lambert may have died of internal injuries. They also said they do not believe he fell from a moving train.
