Noma Pringle rites Friday at Brighton

BRIGHTON --- Funeral services for Noma Wilson Pringle, 64, who died Tuesday night at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Gould Funeral Home here. The Rev. Joe Ricks will officiate, with interment in Hillcrest Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Brighton Volunteer Fire Department or the Brighton First Responders.

Mrs. Pringle had been hospitalized for more than two weeks prior to her death and had been in failing health for seven years.

Noma Wilson Pringle was born April 20, 1919, at Batavia, the daughter of Charlie and Ada Black Wilson. On May 6 1936, she married Glen Pringle at Fairfield. she spent all her married life in Brighton.

Mrs. Pringle was a member pf the Christian Church Disciple; Brighton’s Edgar C, Davison unit of the American Legion; and a long-time member of the Hillcrest Cemetery Association. She formerly belonged to the Brighton Pythian Sisters and had been employed by the Brighton Enterprise newspaper for a number of years.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn and son Kenneth of Brighton; three grandchildren; her mother, Ada Wilson, Fairfield; a sister, Darlene Schillinger, Afton, Okla.; and one brother, Loy Wilson of Fairfield.

Her father and one brother preceded Mrs. Pringle in death.
