Mrs. Albert Mills

Mrs. Albert Mills, 51, died Wednesday, July 3, 1963, at 3:30 p.m. in Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Her home was 708 ½ East Washington Street.

The funeral was held today at 2 p.m. in the Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. Lloyd Latta in charge. Burial was in Elm Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Mills had been ill one month. She was born Oct. 22, 1911 at Salem, Iowa.

Marian[sic] E. Widdifield was born Oct. 22, 1911 at Salem, Iowa, a daughter of Lawrence and Maud Garretson Widdifield. She was reared and educated at Salem and Mt. Pleasant and married June 23, 1934 to Albert Mills. He died September 7, 1962.

A resident here for 27 years, Mrs. Mills was a member of the DAR and the Rebekah lodge. She was a member of the Methodist Church and had taught school in Henry and Washington Counties.

Mrs. Mills had operated the East End Grocery here since the death of her husband a few months ago.

Survivors are three children: Phillip, Meredith and Joy Ann; one sister, Mrs. Henry Hale of Onawa; and one brother, L Robert Widdifield of Anchorage, Alaska.
