Mrs. Widdifield Dies Here Today

Mrs. Iza Mitchell Widdifield, 81, died at the Pines Rest Home here today, Oct. 2, 1962. She had been ill for nearly a year.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. Lloyd Latta in charge. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery.

Iza Mitchell was born Feb. 28, 1881 In Burden, Kansas, a daughter of John Ensign and Elma Henderson Mitchell. She was reared in Missouri and Iowa and married Nov. 21, 1947 ay Keokuk to Lawrence Albert Widdifield.

She had been a school teacher prior to her retirement in 1938. Mr. Widdifield died May 23, 1956.

She was a member of the Unitarian Church.

Survivors are three children: Mrs. Henry Hale of Onawa, Iowa, Lawrence Robert Widdifield of Anchorage, Alaska, and Mrs. Albert Mills of Washington; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
