Preston Hoover dies in Florida

Preston J. Hoover, 93, of 353 Ardice Ave., Eustis, Fla., 32726, died Sunday, June 7, 1987, at Waterman Medical Center. He was formerly of Brighton.

After services in Eustis, graveside services will be held at Brighton Hillcrest Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Saturday. The Rev. Lloyd Bauer will officiate. Hamlin and Hillash Funeral Directors are in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Hoover was born Dec. 25, 1893, at Brighton, the son of Frank and Elizabeth Simmons Hoover. He left Brighton in 1979 and moved to Eustis. He was a retired merchant. Mr. Hoover was a member of the First United Methodist Church at Eustis and the Knights of Pythias.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys of Eustis; two daughters, Gwendolyn Worton of Davenport and Elizabeth (K.) McKenzie of Eustis; one brother, Otis of Fairfield; three grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
