Gladys Hoover, 93, dies

EUSTIS, FLA. --- A former Washington and West Chester resident, Gladys Marie Hoover, 93, died Friday, Oct. 16, 1992 in Eustis, Fla. where she resided.

Funeral services are pending.

She married Preston “Pat” J. Hoover on July 4, 1917. They owned and operated the general store in West Chester. Mr. Hoover died on June 7, 1987.

Mrs. Hoover is survived by two daughters, Gwendolyn R. Worton, Davenport and Elizabeth K. McKenzie, Eustis, Fla.; one sister, Eula Cook, Keosauqua; four grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

----Funeral services for Gladys Hoover will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 23 in the Cunnick-Collins Funeral Home, 1200 E. 39th St., Davenport. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Brighton.
