Parcell funeral Wednesday

WEST CHESTER - Karl R. Parcell, 72, of West Chester, died Sunday, June 12, 1988, at the Washington County Hospital. He was born Dec. 20, 1915, in Jefferson County, the son of Ray and Venie Simmons Parcell.

He was educated in Jefferson and Washington counties. He married Doris Statler Aug. 26, 1938, at Memphis, Mo. He was a member of the West Chester Town Council and West Chester Lion's Club. He was a retired farmer and a member of the United Methodist Church.

He is suvived by his wife of West Chester; two sons, Russell of Sigourney and Robert of Winfield; one daugther, Karla Clark of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren; two brothers Glenn of Fairfield and Keith of Lockrdige; and one sister, Marcelle Lucas of Richland.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Eden Funeral Home with the Rev. Joan Erbe officiating. Burial will be in the West Chester Cemetery in West Chester. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church of West Chester and to the West Chester Heritage Foundation. The family will receive friends and relatives from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
