DEATH OF MRS. JOHN HAGANS

Mrs. Harriet Malinda Luellen was born in Ohio, December 25, 1856. She was married to John Hagens in Fulton County, Illinois, March 1, 1876. In October, 1892, the family moved to Iowa and have lived in this immediate vicinity every since.

In her girlhood days she joined the United Brethern Church, and retained her membership, since coming to Iowa has affiliated with the Christian Church.

One week ago last Monday she was taken sick with lung trouble at ther home west of Brighton, and continued to grow worse until Thursday morning, Feb. 2, whe she passed to the great Beyond.

A husband and seven children are left to mourn the loss of a faithful wife and mother, to whom the sympathies of the community goes out in the hour of their great bereavement. The oldest children, John R. Hagans and Mrs. Will Nordyke are married and live in the neighborhood and the other children, Willie, Gilbert, Maud, Jim, and Eddie are at home.

The funeral will take place the Christian Church this Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. A.B. Cornell.
