Mrs. Sowash dies Sunday

Mrs. Roy Sowash, 86, of 921 East Washington Street died Sunday, Jan 27, 1974 at the Washington County Hospital. She had been in failing health.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Roland Crandall in charge. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery.

Pearl Corpman was born in Dutch Creek Township May 6, 1887, a daughter of John Lafayette and Sarah Host Corpman. She was reared in this county and attended the Washington Academy. She married Roy A. Sowash March 10, 1914, and he died July 30, 1972.

She was a member of the Eastern Star and White Shrine, the 39'ers Club and the United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Hazel Rapp of Washington and Mrs. Jake (Alma) Soethout of Keota; and two nephews, Merle Statler of Washington and Carl Corpman of Brighton.
