MRS. ORIN WALLACE IS TAKEN BY DEATH

WASHINGTON YOUNG WOMAN DIES AT HOSPITAL AFTER BRIEF ILLNESS

Mrs. Orin Wallace, 32 years of age, of 617 North Avenue B, died at 1:20 Sunday morning at the county hospital, where she had been taken an hour before, after becoming suddenly ill Saturday night. A hemorrhage was the cause of death.

Funeral services are to be held at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon at the L. A. Jones Funeral Home in charge of Dr. F. W. Eastwood, of the Presbyterian church. Burial will be here.

Gertrude Bell Messenger was born February 12, 1898 at Brighton, a daughter of John and Nellie (Riley) Messenger, who moved with their family to Washington 20 years ago. She attended Washington schools.

On February 20, 1918 she was married to Orin Wallace and they had since made Washington their home. When a girl, she united with the Baptist church in which she continued to have her membership.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Messenger of Washington; five children, Evelyn, Orin, Nellie, Stanley and Juanita, two sisters, Stella Messenger and Mrs. Mary Williams, both of Muscatine and one brother John of Muscatine. Elsie, a sister, died December 25, 1927.

Mrs. Wallace died July 20, 1930.
