Rosella Marie Stagers

RICHLAND --- Rosella Marie Stagers, 71, of Richland, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, at McCreedy Home in Washington, following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at the Gould Funeral Home in Richland, with the Rev. David Rogula officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Brighton. Family visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established for the Richland Volunteer First Responders.

Mrs. Stagers was born Sept. 21, 1930, in Washington, to Hiram R. and Hattie Mae (Rieley) Jacobs. She was adopted and raised by her grandparents, Perry and Elizabeth A. Davidson. She married Dick Stagers in Washington, Dec. 30, 1946.

Mrs. Stagers grew up in Washington and attended Washington schools. She was a housewife, a member of the Rubio Quilting Club and a member of the Rubio Ladies Club. She lived in the Brighton, Rubio, Packwood and Richland communities.

Mrs. Stagers is survived by her husband; five daughters, Marshaleen Snyder and husband Ron of Burlington, Bonnie Landon of Brighton, Jean Stagers and special friend Chris Frakes of Rubio, Rhonda Gordon and husband Dave of Washington, and Angelo Stagers of Rubio; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Jacobs and Clifford Jacobs, both of Rubio; and one sister, Florence Long of Fairfield.

Mrs. Stagers was preceded in death by her parents; adoptive parents; two grandchildren; three brothers; one sister, six adopted sisters; and two adopted brothers.
