Doris J. Peiffer, 77, of Fairfield, died Sunday, Jan 18, 2009, in Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

Mrs. Peiffer was born Apr 5, 1931 in Brighton, the daughter of E. W. and Ada (Schooley) Duttweiler. She married Herbert J. Peiffer on June 9, 1948.

Surviving are her children, Donna Kaufman of Wayland and Anthony Peiffer and wife Patsy of Fairfield; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Debbie Peiffer of Lockridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on May 17, 1993; two sons, Robert and Michael; a son-in-law, Michael Kaufman and a brother, Dale Duttweiler.
