Lois M. Miller was born June 16, 1926 in Washington County near Wellman, Iowa the daughter of Enos and Amy (Hershberger) Steckly. She attended Union and Pacific rural schools and graduated from Wellman High School in 1946.
On December 28, 1950 she was united in marriage to Willis R. Miller in Wellman. Lois has lived in the Wellman community all of her life where she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Wellman Mennonite Church.
She enjoyed quilting and flowers. Lois died on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at the Pleasantview Home in Kalona following a long illness at the age of 81 years.
Lois is survived by her husband Willis of Wellman; 3 sons - James R. Miller of Wellman; John C. Miller and wife Maryanne of West Hills, California; Lowell A. Miller of Petaluma, California; a daughter - Lois Ann Dehogues and husband Al of Kalona; 6 grandchildren - Jennifer Miller, Alex Dehogues; Will Dehogues; Jacey Dehogues; Torre Miller; Kyla Miller; and 3 sisters - Kathryn Steckly of Goshen, Indiana; Glennis Stutzman of Wellman; and Magdalene Yoder of Eugene, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son Warren Ray Miller.

A memorial fund has been established for Pleasantview Home.
