Faye C. Kos, 60, of Wellman, Iowa, died Saturday, February 17, 2007, near Sigourney, Iowa, as the result of an auto accident on Highway 92.
A celebration of life service was held Wednesday, February 21, 2007, in Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church, rural Kalona, Iowa, with Pastor Don Patterson officiating. Burial was in Sharon Hill Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Lower Deer Creek Church, Kalona or Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison, Illinois. Faye C. Damhoff was born December 14, 1946, in Morrison, Illinois, the daughter of Gilbert & Frances (Buikema) Damhoff. and Central College, Pella, Iowa. She was a teacher. She was a member of Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church and Emmaneul Reformed Church, Gamma XI, and Mennonite Women of Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church. She Volunteered at Washington Township Elemetary School. She was married to Gary Kos October 6, 1973, in Emmanuel Reformed Church, Morrison.
Mrs. Kos is survived by her husband, Gary Kos, Wellman; a son & hiis wife, Shane & Shanon Kos, Ankeny, Iowa; three daughters, Melissa Kos, Pleasant Hill, Iowa; Cami Kos, Pleasant Hill and Caitlyn Kos, Pella; four brothers & their wivves, Rus & Jackie Damhoff, Dixon, Illinois; Rod & Lyn Damhoff, Morrison; Bill and Lynette Damhoff, Morrison; Mike & Kim Damhoff, Morrison; two siters and their husbands, Sue & Dan Eyrich, Troy, Illinois and Sally and Rich Johannsen, Morrison; her mother, Frances Damhoff, Morrison and her grandmother, Hattie Buikema, Morrison.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gilbert Damhoff; her maternal grandfather, Douglas Damhoff; and her paternal grandparents.
