Cecille L. Mayer, 87, of Washington, died Thursday, Aug 18, 1988, at Brownlee Health Center, Washington. Cecille L. Hotle was born Apr 6, 1901, in Washington County, a daughter of William C. and Mary Wilkin Hotle. She married George Homer Mayer on Aug 22, 1922. Mr. Mayer preceded her in death in 1983. Survivors are one daughter, Marlene Havel, Grundy Center; three sons, Ted of Broomfield, CO., Lester of Fairfield, and Roger of Hiawatha; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, William Hotle, Rock Island, IL., three sisters, Lucille Fulton and Alice Edgar, both of Washington, and Ethel Graf, Wellman. She was preceded in death, in addition to her husband, George, by two infant sons, two sisters, and three brothers.
