George Homer Mayer, 83, of Washington, died today, July 6, 1983, at Washington County Hospital. Mr. Mayer was bron June 5, 1900, in Dutch Creek Township, the son of Andy and Martha Luers Mayer. On Aug 22, 1922, he married Cecille L. Hotle. Survivors include his wife, Cecille of Washington; three sons, Ted of Broomfield, CO., Lester, Fairfield, and Roger of Hiawatha; one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Marlene) Havel of Grundy Center; one sister, Mrs Carl (Ruth) Klein of MO; 12 grandchildren. He was preceded by two sons who died in infancy.
