Mrs Rebecca Dean, eighty-one years of age, died this morning at 8:40 at the Lewis Baker home, eight miles southeast of the city, near the Harve station. She had made her home with the Bakers for a number of years. Old age was the cause of death.
She was born Jan 1, 1830, in Hampshire county, West Virginia, and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Baker. She is survived by two children; Lewis Baker, of this county, and Mrs. Martha Johnson of Big Horn Basin, Wyoming. Her husband, Norris Dean has been dead for a number of years. Eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren survive Mrs. Dean. She is also outlived by one brother in Arkansas, one in Kansas, and a sister in Washington state. H.M. Baker of this city and J. W. Baker, of West Chester, are also brothers.
The arrangements for the funeral have not been completed yet. The relatives here are awaiting word from the daughter in Wyoming before setting the hour for the service.
