Wesley Hendricks, son of John and Isabelle Hendricks, was born Oct 8, 1867, passed away Mar 20, 1935 age 67 years, 5 months and 12 days. He was born in Dutch Creek, Iowa, lived in this community his entire life with the exception of a few years in Union county. He lived at home with his parents and ministered faithfully to their wants until they passed away in 1925. He was a loving faithful son. He lived and died in the home that he and his father built. He made a confession and joined the Black Hawk Methodist Church when a young man.
He was united in marriage to Mrs Josephine Brown on June 22, 1915, who proved a loving affectionate helpmate and ministered with untiring interest to his wants till the last. He leaves to moun his departure, his widow and one nephew Perry Deal the only living relative. He was a dutiful son, loving husband and friend to all who knew him. This community has lost one of its best citizens in the passing of Wesley Hendricks
