MRS. IRA L. MIKSCH DIES THIS MORNING

Mrs. Ira L. Miksch, 73, died this morning in the Washington County Hospital where she had been a patient since January 6. Her home was in the Grace Hill Community. Mrs. Miksch had been in failing health over two years.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday, May 31, 1957 in Sherman's Funeral Home with Rev. Milan Thompson in charge. Burial will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery.

Mary Jones was born March 2, 1884 near Winfield, the daughter of Robert and Miriam (Crawford) Jones. She was married in Washington, June 20, 1906 to Ira L. Miksch. All of her married life had been spent in this county except for the first four years when they lived in Missouri.

Mrs. Miksch joined the Methodist church at Ainsworth in 1902 but had been activei n the affiars of the Grace Hill Moravian Church after moving to that neighborhood. She was a member of the Ladies Aid there.

Mr. and Mrs. Miksch celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last year.

Survivors include her husband, four sons: Robert, David, Lawrence, and Lloyd, all of this community; two daughters, Beulah Miksch of Ottumwa and Mrs. Paul (Miriam) Nichols of St. Paul, Minnesota; 14 grandchildren, and brother, Maurice Jones of West Chester; one sister, Mrs. Walter Brown of Burlington.

Three brothers, Joe, John, and Walter Jones are deceased.
