HENRY HOLLINGSWORTH DIES THIS MORNING

Henry Hollingsworth, 90, died today after an illness of about three weeks.

Funeral servies will be held at 3 PM Saturday, June 1, 1957, in the Jones Funeral HOme with Dr. Walter Scheuermann in charge. Burial will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Hollingsworth was born September 26, 1866, the son of William and Mary Singmaster Hollingsworth who were early pioneers in Dutch Creek Township.

Henry Hollingsworth farmed for many years on the family farm near Valley, Iowa.

He was assessor for Dutch Creek township for a number of years and in two of the early Washington bands in the 1880's. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias Lodge for over fifty years. His retirement years were spent in the Hollingsworth home on West Washington were his chief hobby was gardening.

He was the last member of the Hollingsworth family, having been preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers, Duane, Ada Hollingsworth Winter, Bertha, Dell, Linvingston, and Clarence.

He is survived by three nieces: Betty Hollinsworth Martin, Long Beach, California; Fannie Winter Shinabaarger, Valencia Pennsylvania; Carrie Winter Berdo, Washington; and Ruth Winter Lytle with home he made his home for many years.
