Guy Robinson
Guy Leo, son of James and Stella Robinson, was born March 4, 1900, in Monroe County near Albia, and died Feb. 7, 1956 at the age of 55 years, 11 months, 7 days at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. At the age of 18 he moved with his parents to a farm east of Milo and lived most of his life in Warren County. He was united in marriage to Flo Roe July 10, 1920 and to this union five children were born: Ruby, James, Karma, Kay and Max. After a few years of farming he became a buyer of livestock and was known far and near. After a normal day’s work he became seriously ill at midnight Friday, Feb. 3, and was rushed to the hospital where the best of medical aid and care was given, but within a few hours he died.
Beside his wife he is survived by his son, James of Perry, daughter, Karma of Des Moines, Kay and Max at home, Ruby, having preceded him in death 21 years ago at the age of 13. He also leaves his daughter-in-law, Phyllis and granddaughters, Judy and Natalie. His father preceded him in death July 13, 1921. Others of his family surviving are his mother, Stella Robinson of Indianola, Mrs. Ruth Ditzler of Grinnell, Mrs. Grace Tressler of Knoxville, Mrs. Pearl Clark of Wellsburg, Mrs. Leona Finberg, Mrs. Frances Dowd; and brother, Dee Robinson, all of Des Moines, and Mrs. Pauline Furnal of Hartford, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
