William D. Beem
William D. Beem, better known as “Wick,” was born to William and Mary Beem on July 28, 1871 in Clark County and died at his home Jan. 28, 1956, at the age of 84 years and 6 months. On Jan 1, 1902 he was united in marriage to Alice Halterman. To this union three children were born Lester of Hartford, Zelah of Los Angeles, Calif., and Ivan, and infant son, who, with his wife, preceded him in death. When a small boy he moved to the farm where he lived until his death. On Dec. 12, 1942 he was united in marriage to Olive Halterman. He is survived by his wife, Olive, his two children, Zelah and Lester, one step-daughter, Mrs. Gladys Couch of Sacramento, Calif.; two sisters, Zetelia Popejoy in Seattle, Wash., and Ella Bunce of Des Moines.
