Earnest Paulene Coulter, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Coulter, was born at New Virginia Iowa, April 4th, 1904. Died at his home near New Virginia Oct. 2, 1919. Age 15 yrs., 5 mos., and 28 days. Cause, Brights Desease. He was ailing for about four weeks, never complaining but always looking for the bright side and when ask about himself would answer that he felt no pain. Earnest was a good child always. Always constant and faithful in his attendance at Church and Sunday school and will be greatly missed by his class and playmates.
He with his sister and brother united with the Christian church and was baptized during the revival meetings held at the Christian church by Bro. Munyon. He has always lived an exemplary life and was ready when the master called.
He leaves to mourn his loss a father, mother, three sisters, one brother and other, relatives besides a host of friends and neighbors.
Funeral Services were held at the Christian Church Friday at 2:30 P. M. conducted by E. E. Stringfellow, the pastor. Interment in the New Virginia cemetery.
