Funeral Services Are Held at Newbern Church Monday
Perry Davis Mason, 84, died Friday at his home near Newbern after a lingering illness. He is survived by his wife, 10 children, 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. The children are: Walter and Etha at home; Fred of Wausaukee, Wis.; Theron of Davenport; Letta, Laura, Clara and Avis, all of Des Moines; Mrs. Elsie Bearden of near Newbern, and Mrs. Vera Riggs of Redwood City, Cal. Mr. Mason was born in English Township and for 6o years following his marriage to Emma Hunerdosse, lived on a farm near Newbern. He had for many years been a member of the Newbern United Brethren Church. Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. Raymond Williamson, were held Monday afternoon at the Newbern Community church. Burial was in Newbern Cemetery.
