Isaac Willard Shannon
(December 31, 1891 – May 24, 1946)

Isaac Willard Shannon, son of Robert N. and Mary J. Shannon, was born in Red Rock, Dec. 31, 1891, and died at his home south of Ackworth, May 24, 1946, at the age of 54 years, 4 months and 23 days. In 1907, the family moved to Indianola where he completed his schooling. After his graduation from Indianola High School in 1911, his entire life was spent farming in Warren County. He is survived by his wife, Chloris; sons, Dean, Howard, George, and Thomas; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy DeBonis; four grandchildren, Martha Mae and Linda Sue Shannon and Robert and James DeBonis; four brothers, Glover, Gaylord, Frank and Harry; two sisters, Fern Shannon and Mrs. Jessie Howell. One son, Robert, preceded him in death. Services were held Monday, May 27, at the Orr Funeral Home, with burial in the Ackworth Cemetery. The Rev. Everett Davis, pastor of the Ackworth Church, conducted the services.
