James Marshall
(September 2, 1862 – March 29, 1946)

James Marshall, 81, died Friday morning at the Willard Gildow home where he has lived for nearly 35 years. He has been in ill health most of the winter but he was taken seriously ill last Sunday. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Cheesman Funeral Home in Carlisle. Interment was in the Carlisle Cemetery. Mr. Marshall is the last member of the Marshall family who has lived here for many years. His brother, Isom Marshall, died only a few months ago. During his last illness he was cared for by Mr. Gildow and his sisters, Mrs. Tacy Saville, of Fullerton, Neb., and Mrs. Anna Shawhan of Des Moines.
