Julia Virginia Perry
(March 31, 1868 – March 17, 1946)

Funeral of Mrs. Will Perry Fri.
Mrs. Julia Butler Perry, 80, former resident of Indianola, died at her home in San Diego, Calif., Sunday morning following a two-year illness. The body will be brought to Indianola and buried beside her husband, the late Will Perry. Services will be held at the Orr Funeral Home Friday morning at 10. Her son, Allen Perry, of San Diego, will accompany the body to Indianola. He will arrive Thursday. Mrs. Perry and her son and daughter, Miss Winifred Perry, left Iowa for California about 28 years ago. Mrs. Perry is a sister-in-law of H. D. Perry.

Julia Virginia Butler was born near Indianola March 31, 1868, the daughter of William and Emily Butler. She attended the schools of Indianola and after graduation from high school attended Simpson College where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. May 29, 1889 she was married to Will A. Perry who died May 7, 1914. Three children were born to them: a daughter, Helen, who died in infancy, and a daughter, Winifred, and a son, Allen, who survive. In 1920 she and her two children moved to San Diego, California, where she died in her home March 17, after an illness of nearly two years. She is survived by her children and a granddaughter, Victoria Perry, all of San Diego. Her only brother, George C. Butler, died in Pierre, S. D., Feb 1, of this year. Services were held at the Orr Funeral Home Friday, March 22, at 10 a.m., in charge of the Rev. Walter T. Martin, pastor of the Presbyterian Church.
