Frank P. McAdoo Taken By Death
Services for Frank P. McAdoo, 78, who died Friday were held Monday, Jan. 15, at the Overton Funeral home. The Rev. Carl J. Spieker, assisted by the Rev. W. E. Hall of Des Moines, officiated. Mr. McAdoo began farming for himself in Marion County when a young man and came to Warren County in 1890 where he was prominent in producing purebred livestock. He won many prizes at both county and state fairs. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. W. S. Richards of Northboro, Mrs. L. D. Sherman of Des Moines and Mrs. C. W. Fairly and Mrs. R. L. Brown of Indianola. Those attending the funeral from out-of-town were: Mr. and Mrs. Huber McAdoo, Runnells; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Keller, Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Richards, Ruth, Ross, and Mary Joan, and John Richards, Northboro; Mrs. Cora T. McAdoo, New Sharon; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Sherman, Lois Elizabeth, Laura Katherine and Margaret Isabel, Miss Edith Fairly, the Rev. and Mrs. Ward Hall, Mrs. Robert Johnston and Mrs. Ray T. Garlick all of Des Moines; Sgt. And Mrs. Homer M. Fairly, Clovis, N. M. and Miss Dorothy Fairly, McCallsburg.
