Child Dies From Swallowing Bean
The little son of Mr. and Mrs. Derby Davey, living northeast of Milo died Sunday evening about eight o’clock. The child had swallowed a bean the day before. It is reported that there were no apparent ill effects at first and the mother supposed the bean had entered the stomach and would pass through the elementary tract in the normal manner. Later convulsions set in resulting in death. It is supposed the bean had lodged somewhere in the throat and later entered the windpipe.
