Death of Mrs. Jessie Liston
Word was received by friends here, Wednesday evening, of the death of Mrs. Jessie Liston who died at the home of her nephew, Dr. Charles I. Taylor of Pomeroy, after a long continued illness. Mrs. Liston has many old friends in this city who will be saddened by the news of her death. She was the widow of Edward Liston, who passed away a number of years ago. Since that time Mrs. Liston has been engaged as a teacher, for years in Marshalltown, and for a number of years in Cheyenne, Wyo. She is survived by one son, Walden, of Seattle, Wash., and one sister, Mrs. C. G. Taylor of Chicago. Funeral was held yesterday afternoon at the undertaking parlors of Proudfoot, Overton and Company. Interment by the side of her husband in Manoah Cemetery. [copied from a scrapbook at the Warren County Historical Society Library, Indianola, IA]
