Pearl Pierce
(October 22, 1901 – October 11, 1923)

Obituary
On the evening of October 11, 1923 occurred an automobile accident which resulted in the death of Pearl Pierce, formerly Pearl Ringering of Brainerd. She and her husband had just started from their home near Egan, S. D. to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Ringering of Brainerd, Minn. When a few miles from home a breakage occurred in which the car was rendered uncontrollable, and was overturned, pinning the occupants beneath it. Before help came Mrs. Pierce was crushed and smothered to death. Mr. Pierce was injured but will recover.
Pearl Ringering was born October 22, 1901 at Harding, Neb. At the age of sixteen she was baptized and united with the Adventist church. On May 5, 1920 she was married to Morris Pierce of Egan, S. D. Besides her husband she leaves her parents, eight brothers and three sisters. The funeral service was held Sunday afternoon, October 14 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Englehart, sister and brother-in-law of the deceased and some thirteen miles from Brainerd, and she was laid to rest in a little rural burial ground among the pines. We trust that she fell asleep in the blessed hope of the soon coming Savior and the resurrection of the just. – E.L.S.
