Emma Louisa Miller
(October 22, 1868 – March 17, 1923)

Mrs. Joseph A. Miller
Emma Louisa Goss, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Goss, was born October 22, 1868, in Pennsylvania, and passed away at her home in Lacona March 17, 1923, aged fifty-four years, four months and twenty-five days. She was united in marriage to Joseph A. Miller July 31, 1892. To this union eight children were born, who with the companion mourn her loss; five girls and three boys, Mrs. Dorothy Lancaster, Mrs. Carrie Hickman, Mrs. Amy Needles, Mrs. Nora Johnson and Mary, Walter B., Frank and Carl at home; also eight grand children, her aged father, three brothers and four sisters, John and Edd Goss of Melcher, George Goss of California, Mrs. Katie Wadle and Mrs. Maggie Ohnemia of Melcher, Julia Wadle and Mary Hock of Bauer, Iowa. She is preceded in death by her mother and two brothers, Joseph and Nicholas Goss.
The deceased was a patient sufferer for years and bore her intense suffering without a murmer. All that loving hearts and willing hands could do to stay the disease was done but to no avail. She was a faithful member of the Catholic church. Funeral services were held at St. Josephs church at Bauer Tuesday, March 20th, by Father Gaul, with interment at St. Josephs Cemetery.
