Mary Margaret Brown was born August 29, 1835 in Lee County, Iowa and departed this life at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. H. Miller, Indianola, Ia., Sept. 22, 1923 at the age of 88 years and 23 days.
The deceased was united in marriage to James T. Wilson Aug 3rd, 1856, who preceded her in death Sept. 3rd, 1882. To this union were born six children, Mrs. Amanda J. Sexton of Pleasantville, Ia.; Mrs. Annetta V. Parks of Emporia, Kans.; Mrs. Letha B. Moore of Lorimor; W. J. Wilson of Knoxville and Mrs. W. H. Miller of Indianola. One son, Thomas Ross, having died in infancy. She also has fourteen living grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her death two sisters, Mrs. Amanda Perkins of Lillamook, Ore., and Mrs. Adeline Perkins of Republic, Wash. She united with the Methodist Episcopal Church when twelve years of age and had lead a very earnest and devout Christian life.
