Letha Alice Hutchcroft
(October 23, 1884 – May 19, 1923)

Mrs. Lester Hutchcroft
Letha Alice Weeks, daughter of Sampson and Gillie Weeks, was born October 23, 1884, in Bedford County, VA., and passed away at Savannah, Mo., May 19, 1923, at the age of 38 years, six months, 26 days. At the age of 6 months she came here with her parents near Indianola where she lived ever since. She was united in marriage to Lester Hutchcroft, May 30, 1906. To this union were born two sons, one dying in infancy. Those left to mourn their loss are her husband and son, Charlie R., her father, S. W. Weeks, five brothers, Charlie L., George W., Raymond B., Floyd and Grover Weeks and three sisters, Mrs. Ida Lester, Mrs. Clara Fridley and Mrs. Sina Baker, all of near Indianola. She also leaves numerous other relatives and a host of friends. She went to Savannah, Mo., for treatment April 2; and for all loving hands and kindness could do she could not recover. She united with the Christian Union Church at Cool in 1916, and in its faith and practice lived and died. She being the oldest daughter, she assumed the cares of life very young and was ever a constant companion of her mother until her marriage, where her whole thought was for making her home and others happy. She was a dutiful daughter, a devoted wife and loving mother.
