Ina C. Shera
(October 28, 1872 – May 12, 1923)

Ina C. Hughes Shera, daughter of H. H. and Martha Hughes, was born near Percy, Ia., Oct 28, 1872, and died May 12, 1923 at her home in Swan, Iowa, aged 51 years, six months, and 14 days. She was united in marriage to Phillip Shera March 27, 1894, at Des Moines, Iowa. To this union were born two daughters, both dying in infancy. She leaves to mourn her loss a husband, three brothers, and five sisters, Clyde and John of Percy, Ia., W. B. Hughes, of Des Moines, Ia., Mrs. N. J. Olsen, Bussey, Ia. Mrs. C. C. Collins, Pleasantville, Iowa, Mrs. Wes Shepherd, Des Moines, Ia., Mrs. Virgil Grider and Mrs. Winifred Roush, of North Dakota, beside other relatives and friends. She was converted in the Baptist church at the age of eighteen and was a firm believer in Christ as her personal Saviour. Being a constant sufferer for several years, she bore it all with patience and Christian fortitude. She was a devoted wife, kind neighbor and loved by all who knew her.
