Agnes Judkins
(August 5, 1908 – September 2, 1940)

Obituary
Agnes Wyota, daughter of Gertie and Elza Bales, was born near Milo, Iowa, August 5th, 1908. Since about 12 years of age she was a sufferer from asthma which grew intensely worse in later years until her endurance was exhausted and she passed quietly away at her home in Milo Sep. 2nd, 1940, aged 32 years and 27 days. She grew up near the place of her birth obtaining her education in the Milo schools. She was converted and joined the Christian Union church in Milo at an early age and always remained in this faith. She was united in marriage to Leo Judkins in 1925. To them were born two children, Leroy and Max, who with her husband survive her. They were all a great comfort to her during her illness. A few years of her married life were spent in Liberty Center. There she made new friends to add to her many old ones. A great deal of her happiness was also found from just being in her own home with her family. Besides husband and children, she leaves her father and mother, an aged grandmother, Mrs. Mattie Clapp; 7 sisters, Icel Alfers of St. Louis, Juanita Drake and Esther Tomlinson of Indianola, Mabel Burson of Pleasantville, Lillian Martin of Des Moines, Edra Hunter and Eleanor Gregg of Milo, one brother, Dean, at home. She was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil, and a sister, Ione. Funeral was held at the Christian Union church in Milo Wednesday, with burial at Liberty Center.
Card of Thanks – To all the dear friends and neighbors who so kindly expressed their sympathy and assisted us during the illness and death of our beloved wife and mother, we extend our sincere and heartfelt thanks and appreciation. – Leo Judkins, Leroy and Max.
