He was a good church worker, and attended church faithfully when his health permitted. He was a firm believer in his Master. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, and during his illness his children were his greatest joy and comfort. Those who were privileged to know him will never forget him. The summons of his Master came after he had enjoyed the 14th birthday of his daughter Betty on Monday. Funeral services were held at the Cool church on Thursday afternoon, July 18, conducted by the Rev. Dr. W. M. Scheuermann, Pastor of the Indianola Methodist church.
