Ray Morse Dennis
(June 28, 1931 - December 30, 2019)

Ray M. Dennis, 88, of Indianola (Formerly of Altoona), passed away December 30, 2019 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. A visitation will be held at Ss. John and Paul Parish in Altoona from 9:30-10:30am, Saturday, January 4, 2020. Mass will immediately follow the visitation at 10:30am. Military honors will be conducted by the United States Air Force at the church, followed by a luncheon. A graveside memorial will be held at a later date.
Ray was born June 28, 1931 in Mitchellville, Iowa to Otto and Dora (Morse) Dennis. He graduated from Norwalk High School in 1949. After school, he joined the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. On May 8, 1959 he married Mildred McCullough. Together, they raised three boys. That same year, Ray started working for John Deere where he stayed until retirement.
Ray is survived by his wife of 60 years, their sons; Michael (Pam) of Milo, Gregory of Indianola, and Kendall of Des Moines, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
