Richard Charles Keith
(February 11, 1953 - December 31, 2019)

Richard Charles Keith, 66, passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on December 31, 2019. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, January 10, 2020 at the Central Community Church in Urbandale, Iowa. A visitation will begin at 10:00 am prior to services at the church. Interment with military honors will follow services at 2:00 pm in the Iowa Veteran Cemetery.
Richard was born in Des Moines, IA on February 11, 1953 to Hugh and Helen King. He graduated from North High School in 1972. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Airforce and was crew chief on the KC-135 and served honorably as a Vietnam Veteran. Richard worked for Orkin Pest Control after his discharge from the military service until he was hired on to the United States Post Office in which he retired after 26 years. Richard enjoyed many hobbies and had several throughout his life, but his passions were fishing, hunting, wood working, photography, and spending time with family, friends but most of all his grandkids.
Richard is lovingly remembered by his wife, Beth Keith of DeSoto; daughter, Jennifer Keith, grandchildren, Jordan and Kristen; son, Steven Keith, granddaughter, Lillian; daughter, Stephanie Clark(Dan), grandchildren, Shane, Hunter, Bailey and Bradan; daughter, Tammy Babcock (Chad), grandchildren Halie, Kaytlynn, Jacob, Zackary, Kaden, great granddaughter, Ariel, his brother Russell Keith (Marissa), Pat Keith (Sister-in-law), Harold and Elaine Howard (father/mother-in-law), and a large extended family.
Richard was preceded in death by Hugh and Helen Keith (parents), Elmer Dale Keith (brother), and Shirley Ann Holmes (sister) and her husband Bill.
