William Hall
William, son of James and Margaret Hall, was born in Guernsey County, Ohio, August 5, 1846. Died at Liberty Center, February 25, 1922, at the age of 75 years, 6 months and 20 days. He was a pioneer of this state, coming here in 1850. Since then he has resided near Liberty Center, except three years spent near Chariton. On December 3, 1874, he was married to Innocence A. Copenhaffer and to this union were born three children: Manly Leslie, who died at 13 years of age, 1895, Lester of Liberty Center and Pearl Crosse, of Des Moines. He was a man who was fond of home, honest, upright, dealing justly with his fellowmen. Death came quite suddenly on Friday night, due to heart failure. He leaves to mourn their loss besides his faithful wife, son Lester and daughter, Pearl Crosse, a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at the home Sunday, at 2:00 p.m., by W. Frank Lister. Interment was made at the Liberty Center cemetery.
