Delores Alice, we loved you dearly,
It is hard to let you go,
But through our tears and anguish,
We must say, “God willed it so.
He who gave you life of sunshine
Here on earth with us to dwell,
Now has taken you to Heaven,
And He doeth all things well,
So, play on!, in the streets all golden,
Swing on the gates of pearl,
For we’ll meet you in the morning,
Precious, darling baby girl.
