Death of Mrs. J. R. Lundy
Mrs. J. R. Lundy died at 3:30 Wednesday morning, August 20, after a protracted illness beginning in May 1901, and accompanied at the last by much suffering, patiently born.
Hattie Walter was born near Altoona, Polk County, August 18, 1869, she was married in 1889, at Des Moines and afterward lived at Avon, Spring Hill, and Milo. She was the mother of four children, three of them now living. She joined the Christian church in 1885, and has been a member of the M.E. church since 1889. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a good woman, and respected by all who knew her and loved by all her friends. The funeral will take place at 2 o’clock p.m. today.
