DIED – James Nicholls, June 19, 1869, in the 71st year of his age, died while at his daughter’s home, in Kansas City, Mo. His death was very sudden, supposed to have been from apoplexy, or old age. One moment before his death he walked across the floor, fell and died instantly. Mr. Nicholls was formerly a well-known citizen of this county – lost two sons in the Union Army – was highly respected by all who knew him. “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord.”
