Funeral service for Alfred Gardner who passed away Tuesday evening at the Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, was held here at the M. E. Church on Thursday afternoon. Rev. A. E. George of Humeston, had charge of the service. Interment was made in the Carlisle Cemetery. Mr. Gardner was formerly a resident of this place, but of late years had lived at Altoona. He is survived by his wife, one son, Paul, and daughter, Mrs. Harley Baker, also his aged father, Wm. Gardner and other relatives.
