Sherman Green
(August 29, 1865 - February 25, 1923)

OBITUARY
Sherman Green was born in Brooklyn, Indiana, August 29, 1865. The family continued to live in this locality until about 1883, when Sherman came
to Illinois, settling for a time in Arcola. In 1891 Mr. Green came to Pleasantville, Iowa, continuing his residence there until his marriage in 1901, to Miss Ora Tidball, of Hartford. The new home was established near Hardford, on the David Young farm. This residence was changed at the end of two years, the family moving to a farm near Indianola. At the end of four years again the home was moved to Sandyville, where they remained 2 years. Coming back, then, to the old home neighborhood near Hartford settled, and have since resided. The family consists of eight children: Louis, deceased; Lucile, Richard, Donna, Grace, Margaret, Clarence and Esther, who are all at home. Mr. Green leaves to mourn their loss, a wife, seven children, two brothers and two half sisters, besides many friends. The brothers are: Ambrose; and James Green. The sisters: Miss Eva Green and Mrs. Ora Jackson, both of Moorsville, Indiana. Sabbath morning, Feb. 25, 1923, while milking, he was taken with an attack of neuralgia of the heart. He was only able to withstand the attack for about thirty minutes, breathing his last at 9:30 a. m. Funeral Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 27, 1923, from the Presbyterian church, Hartford, Iowa. Interment in Hartford Cemetery, Rev. C. E. Wilson, officiating. The family wishes to thank the many friends who showed their sympathy by their many kind acts and words.
