Albert J. Bowlin
(October 15, 1860 - January 6, 1923)

Albert J. Bowlin of Winterset was born October 15th, 1860, in St. Joseph, Missouri. He passed away Saturday, January sixth, 1923, at the age of sixty-two years, two months and twenty-one days. He was married to Mrs. Hattie Poolen on February 12, 1920. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, Hattie and one full sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Couch of Des Moines, and five sisters, Mrs. Emily Glasscock and Mary and Martha Bowlin of Des Moines; Mrs. Clara Eckis of Denver, Colorado, and Mrs. Mann of Los Angeles, California; two half brothers, Will Bowlin of Des Moines and John of Denver, Colorado, and ten nephews. He had three brothers who have gone before: Frank Bowlin, of Churchville; Clark Bowlin of Olatha, Kansas and James, of Ackworth and one sister, Mrs. Harriet Robinson. Those attending the funeral were: Mrs. Elizabeth Couch and son John, of Des Moines, Mrs. Frank Bowlin of Churchville, Mrs. Emily Glascock of Des Moines, Will Bowlin of Des Moines, Will Robinson of Indianola, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Grassman and son Earl of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Will George of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Will Couch and son Carl of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Huss of Churchville, Will Bliss and Wilma of Des Moines. He was laid to rest in the Linn Grove cemetery.
