G. L. Poulson and Peter De Reus were called to St. Charles the first of the week to attend the funeral of James Poulson, who passed away last Friday at the age of 60 years, a victim of paralyses – his second attack within three years. He is remembered by Ira people, having lived for many years in that neighborhood. A year or so ago his son, Oscar, with whom he has been making his home, moved to Madison county and he was a member of his family when he died. He was a brother of J. C. Poulson, of Poweshiek Township, and leaves a son, John, who lives at Altoona.
