Thomas Richard Kersey
(December 12, 1961 - December 14, 2017)

Thomas Richard Kersey was born December 12, 1961 in Guthrie Center, Iowa and passed away December 14, 2017 in Des Moines, Iowa. Thomas lived in Colorado and Wisconsin until moving to Indianola Iowa over 24 years ago. He had been living for a long time in an apartment on the North side of the Indianola Square. Thomas had been employed by the first Hardees Restaurant. When it closed Thomas was invited to work for Gib’s A&W, where he was still employed. Thomas is Survived by his mother and step-father, Ann and James Bopp of Winterset, Iowa; sister, Teresa McGroarty of Glenburnie, Maryland; brothers, Richard Kersey Jr. of Northfield, Minnesota and Michael Kersey of Winterset, Iowa; father, Richard Kersey Sr. of Colorado Springs, Colorado, along with several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Indianola First Baptist Church. Memorial Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
